Vimto firm Nichols ups revenue to £147m

Merseyside-based Vimto and soft drinks firm Nichols plc said on Thursday its revenue rose 3.6% to £147.2 million for the year.

Nichols’ other brands include Feel Good, Starslush, ICEE, Levi Roots and Sunkist. 

In a trading update for the year December 31, Nichols said UK sales rose 2.7% to £117.7 million.

Revenue in Nichols’ international markets grew 7.5% to £29.5 million, with sales to the Middle East up 20.6% to £11.6 million.

“In summary, the board is very pleased with the group sales performance and we currently anticipate full year profit before tax to be in line with market expectations,” said Nichols.

“The Vimto brand has again performed very well in the UK, despite strong prior year comparatives.

“Underpinned by the group’s diversified business model, strong brands and successful track record, the board remains confident of Nichols Plc’s long-term progress.”
