Keystone acquires North Brewing Co’s brand portfolio

Keystone Brewing Group said it has acquired Leeds-based North Brewing Co’s brand portfolio “with the ambition to expand distribution nationally and internationally.”

Keystone takes ownership of the brands from Vertical Drinks, retaining Vertical’s Steve Holt as an adviser.

Keystone said: “Founded in 2015, North Brewing Co. has built a reputation for its innovative hop-forward beers, hazy IPA’s, and its TFG’s (Triple Fruited Goses).

“The brand has become a key player in the UK’s craft-brewing scene, combining northern roots with award-winning, eclectic flavours.”

Keystone Brewing Group CEO Mark Williams said: “We are delighted the North Brewing brand and beers will join the Keystone family.

“It is a true icon with a compelling reputation for innovation and high-quality beers, and we see enormous potential to build on its success to date, growing it nationally while preserving its original Yorkshire identity.

“We are also delighted to announce that Steve Holt will be working with us, as a special advisor to our group in future.

“These are exciting times for Keystone, and we’re not finished yet.”

Holt said of Keystone’s move: “They have the sales and marketing resources to expand distribution and accelerate the brand’s growth.”
