Newcastle Building Society CFO resigns

Newcastle Building Society announced that after six years in the role of chief financial officer (CFO), David Samper has announced that he will be leaving the mutual.

“David will step down from the Society’s Board with effect from 31 March 2025,” said Newcastle.

The process to recruit a new CFO is under way.

Andrew Haigh, Newcastle Building Society’s CEO, said: “David has made a significant contribution to the Society’s progress during his time with us, not least in 2024 when he led the successful projects to transform our finance systems and the raising of Tier 2 and AT1 capital to support the Society’s ongoing plans for investment and growth.

“We wish David well for the future.”
