Belfast-based W&R Barnett has acquired a majority shareholding in Barnsley-based Symphony Group, the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture giant.
Symphony Group is the UK’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of fitted kitchen, fitted bedroom and fitted bathroom furniture, with a turnover exceeding £220 million and over 1,500 employees.
Its customers include housing developers, social housing providers, independent retailers and stockists/merchants.
Its fitted kitchens include the Laura Ashley Kitchen Collection, Linear and Symphony’s Gallery and Milano ranges. Its fitted bathrooms are by Aquadi and its fitted bedrooms include the Laura Ashley Bedroom Collection and Urbano range.

“Recently appointed Managing Director, Paul Whitehouse, who has been with the business for 23 years, will continue to lead the Symphony executive team.”
