Marshalls appoints new CEO as revenue rises to £632m

Marshalls plc, the Elland, West Yorkshire-based stone and landscaping firm, announced the appointment of Simon Bourne as its CEO with immediate effect.

Simon was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer on 27 November 2025,” said Marshalls.

“At that time, a search and selection process was initiated with independent advisers to appoint a permanent Chief Executive Officer. This process included a robust evaluation of internal and external candidates.

Simon’s appointment reflects his extensive business and leadership experience, having been with the Group for more than 10 years in a variety of senior operational and commercial roles, and a full member of the Board since 2022. His appointment supports the Board’s focus on execution as the Group accelerates its delivery of the ‘Transform & Grow’ strategy’.”

Marshalls also published a trading update for the year ended December 31, 2025, saying 2025 adjusted profit before tax expected to be in line with market expectations. Company compiled consensus for adjusted profit before tax is £43.6 million with a range of £42.0 million to £44.4 million.

Group revenue is expected to be £632 million for the year, representing year-on-year growth of 2% and in-line with trends reported in the firm’s November trading update.
