Yorkshire Water said it is recruiting for almost 100 roles in its asset delivery team as it looks to accelerate delivery of its five-year £8.3 billion investment programme.

“A significant portion of the roles are in project management for capital infrastructure improvements – a key focus for Yorkshire Water in this delivery period (2025–2030) and beyond,” said the utility.

“Project managers will be responsible for planning and overseeing important, large-scale infrastructure projects from start to finish.

“In the engineering arm of the business, there are a number of roles available, including project engineers; project technicians; reliability engineers; process engineers; process safety engineers; commissioning assurance engineers; and design engineers.”

The recruitment comes as Yorkshire Water looks to pick up the pace in its £8.3 billion investment programme, which aims to improve infrastructure.

Richard Stuart, director of asset delivery and engineering at Yorkshire Water, said: “Last year, we got underway with over 270 significant projects upgrading our water and wastewater infrastructure – from drilling boreholes to unlock new underground water sources to creating new wetlands the aid the treatment of wastewater.

That means bringing in a host of new, talented colleagues, who can help us to meet all of our ambitions, and our goal of bringing investment forward, and completing projects sooner, where we can.”
