Manchester’s AJ Bell says bosses sell £25m of shares

Salford-based investment platform AJ Bell said on Wednesday that its CEO Andy Bell and AJ Bell Investcentre managing director Fergus Lyons sold 3.6 million and 1.7 million shares respectively in the company for 460p per share — making a total of £24.8 million.

“The placing shares represent approximately 1.31% of the company’s issued share capital,” said broker Numis Securities Limited.

Following the placing, Bell and Lyons will respectively have interests in 93 million (22.68%) and 15.7 million (3.84%) of the company’s issued share capital.
