Assura, Warrington health REIT, moves to Altrincham

Assura plc, the Warrington-based FTSE 250 healthcare real estate investment trust (REIT), said it will relocate its head office from to Altrincham.

Assura has a portfolio of around £2.7 billion.

“We are planning to renovate and refurbish our new office, 3 Barrington Road, to make it a modern and welcoming environment, while also boosting the environmental performance of the building and our well-being amenity for staff,” said Assura.

“Plans for the office include window replacement, improvements to thermal insulation of the building fabric and enhanced building controls to actively reduce energy demand.”

Assura CEO Jonathan Murphy said: “We are delighted about our upcoming move to Altrincham. It has unparalleled public transport links into Manchester and beyond with a fantastic business community in the town that we want to be a part of.

“Assura has been through a period of sustained growth and the new office in Altrincham will be the start of a fantastic new chapter for the company. We have plans to renovate the office to create an inspirational new environment for our staff and the existing tenants in the building.

“As an organisation, we have pledged to meet the World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment and this move to a new building represents a key part of that strategy. This base will allow us to lead by example.

“We will trial the latest technologies and new ways of working, creating a space we are proud to bring our customers to: somewhere where we can bring to life all the net zero standards we’re pushing to see across health care premises.”
