Salford-based investment platform AJ Bell said on Friday that Bestfield Investments, a person closely associated (PCA) with Fergus Lyons, the AJ Bell Investcentre managing director, sold 603,992 shares in the company at £4.61 per share, which amounts to £2.78 million.
Following the sale, Lyons is interested in 15,142,396 shares, 3.689% of the firm’s issued share capital. That amounts to about £68 million at Friday’s stock price.
AJ Bell also said Charles Galbraith, the AJ Bell Youinvest managing director, sold 250,000 shares for £4.61 each. That amounts to about £1.15 million.
Galbraith is now interested in 1,780,531 shares, 0.434% of the issued share capital. That amounts to about £8 million at Friday’s stock price.
On December 30, AJ Bell said CEO Andy Bell and Lyons sold 3.6 million and 1.7 million shares respectively in the company for 460p per share — making a total of £24.8 million.
Following that share placing, Bell was left with interests in 93 million shares, about 22.68% of the company’s issued share capital. That amounts to about £420 million at Friday’s stock price.
