Newcastle-headquartered Grainger plc, the UK’s largest listed residential landlord, said on Friday it appointed Michelle Boothroyd as its Chief People Officer.
“Michelle was previously People Director at Nationwide, the world’s largest building society, where she was responsible for delivery of Nationwide’s strategic people and cultural transformation agenda.
“Prior to her time at Nationwide, Michelle held senior HR roles at Santander and RBS,” said Grainger.
Boothroyd will join Grainger’s executive committee and she is expected to start in late January 2022.
Grainger CEO Helen Gordon said: “We are delighted to welcome Michelle to Grainger.
“Her energy and experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow and build on our core value of ‘People at the heart’.
“Our aim of being a top employer, welcoming to talent from all backgrounds, delivering great homes and a great experience to tens of thousands of residents, will benefit from Michelle’s expertise.”
Boothroyd said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Grainger team at such an exciting time of growth for the company.
“Its solid foundations and fascinating heritage provide it with such a strong base from which to grow and excel, and I look forward to working with the team to maximise our potential as an employer, great landlord, and a people-focused business as a force for good.”
