Connells, part of the Skipton Group, said it has appointed Helen Charlesworth as its new Group CEO, subject to regulatory approval.

The UK’s largest estate agency and property services provider said Charlesworth will join at the end of September.

Charlesworth was previously managing director at Stonegate Group, the UK’s largest pub company, where she spent eight years leading the group and completing a number of successful acquisitions.

Stuart Haire, Skipton Group Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted to welcome Helen as Connells new Group CEO and look forward to working with her to help Connells onto even more exciting successes.”

Charlesworth said: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at Connells and am looking forward to getting back into estate agency.”

Richard Twigg, who has been interim CEO for the past 12 months, will revert to his former role of Chief Finance and Commercial Officer, the company said.
