County Durham-based Filtronic plc, which sells communications technology for aerospace and defence uses, reported higher sales and profit for the year as it notched contracts with SpaceX and the European Space Agency.
The company, which has offices in Manchester and Leeds, said sales increased in the year by 56% to £25.4 million, and reported an operating profit of £3.6 million, up from £0.2 million last year.
Jonathan Neale, Chairman, said: “The success in FY2024 has given us a very strong basis for our business as we look ahead into FY2025. We continue to prove that we have the technology, products and skills to compete internationally with the best.”
