Bruntwood SciTech has expanded its highly successful Female Founders Incubator, moving it to Cheshire’s Alderley Park, as it looks to tackle the pay gap between men and women in the tech sector.
In partnership with Lifted Ventures, a venture capital firm dedicated to supporting female-led startups across the UK, the initiative will provide essential resources, mentorship and networking opportunities.
Based at Alderley Park, near Alderley Edge and Macclesfield, the Female Founders Incubator aims to support the next generation of female entrepreneurs by offering 30 early-stage female founders the opportunity to take advantage of over £20,000 worth of specialist business support.
The six-month programme includes tailored mentoring, access to a range of industry events, complimentary space in Glasshouse – a workspace at Alderley Park – and extensive networking opportunities designed to foster transformative growth. Participants will also benefit from personalised support from industry leaders and experts, ensuring they have the tools and guidance necessary for success.
Alderley Park is a science park housing more than 250 technology companies with some shared infrastructure. It is owned and operated by Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between commercial property company Bruntwood, finance giant Legal & General and Greater Manchester Pension Fund.
