Manchester-based HSS Hire Group plc has announced directorate changes as Douglas Robertson steps down from its board after nine years at HSS.
Neil Cooper, 57, joins HSS as an independent non-executive director and as chair of HSS’s Audit and Remuneration Committees.
“Neil has over 36 years of experience in finance roles in UK public and private companies,” said HSS.
“He is currently Group CFO of the Redpin Group, a leader in international payments and FX in the UK and beyond.”
Ernst Kastner, 53, is appointed as a non-executive director of HSS.
“Ernst has been an observer on HSS’s board on behalf of HSS’s second largest shareholder since 2020 and now steps up into a non-executive director role,” said HSS.
“For the purposes of the QCA Corporate Governance Code, Ernst is not considered independent.”
HSS chairman Alan Peterson said: “Doug has been with HSS since our IPO in 2015 and has made an important contribution to the business as a Director, Chair of our Audit Committee and a member of our other Committees.
“On behalf of everyone at HSS, I would like to convey sincere thanks to Doug for his commitment during his tenure and we wish him the very best for the future.
“The Board and I would like to welcome Neil and Ernst to HSS and the significant experience they bring to the business at this pivotal time. I look forward to working with them.”
