Newcastle-based building services firm Northern Bear plc said its turnover from continuing operations rose to £53.6 million in the year to March 31, 2018, from £45.6 million in the prior year.
Adjusted operating profit from continuing operations rose to £3.1 million from £2.5 million.
Northern Bear’s executive chairman Steve Roberts said the inrease in turnonover was “due to a combination of increased turnover from existing operations and the impact of the H Peel acquisition.”
H Peel is an interiors and fit out business based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, which has a blue chip client base across the UK and operates primarily in the hotel and leisure sectors.
Roberts added: “I am delighted to be reporting on another great set of results …
“We are pleased to be back on the acquisition trail and will continue to look at opportunities as and when they arise.”
