Manchester United has raised its previous revenue guidance of £590 million to £610 million for fiscal 2023 to a record £630 million to £640 million.
The firm also raised its previous adjusted EBITDA guidance of £125 million to £140 million to £140 million to £150 million.
The company announced financial results for the 2023 fiscal third quarter ended March 31, 2023.
Total operating expenses for the quarter were £176.7 million, an increase of £1.4 million or 0.8% over the prior year quarter.
Commercial revenue for the quarter was £69.4 million, an increase of £3.8 million or 5.8%, over the prior year quarter.
Broadcasting revenue for the quarter was £50.7 million, a decrease of £800,000 or 1.6% over the prior year quarter “as a result of the men’s first team participating in the UEFA Europa League compared to the UEFA Champions League in the prior year, partially offset by progression in domestic cup competitions.”
Matchday revenue for the quarter was £49.9 million, an increase of £14.2 million or 39.8% over the prior year quarter “due to playing 5 additional home matches in the current year quarter, compared to the prior year quarter.”
