A £19 million plan for a 15-storey property development in Manchester has been approved by Manchester City Council.
The location of the site is on the north east edge of Manchester city centre at 25 Rochdale Road.
Designed by Hodder+Partners, with Deloitte Real Estates as planning advisors, the scheme will create 100 one and two-bedroom apartments and commercial space.
Hodder+Partners associate director Matt Dawson said: “We’re delighted that planning has been granted to develop 25 Rochdale Road.
“It’s a fantastic site located on a pivotal area between several strategically masterplanned zones while also being situated along an important arterial route close to a major gateway into the city centre.
“As well as delivering quality, purpose-built residential accommodation, close to the city centre, our design aims to stitch together a variety of building heights in the immediate vicinity as well as add to the recent high-quality architecture in the area …
“It will essentially increase the provision of high-quality residential accommodation in the area, while contributing economic growth in not just the immediate vicinity, but in the city as a whole.”
